Project Description

After Green Power’s installation of LED lamps, the light effect is brighter and the power usage more efficient.

The problem with current warehouse lighting

Most warehouses currently use Metal Halides, High Pressure Sodium (orange light) or fluorescent T-Bay lighting technologies.

There are three main problems with these lighting systems:

  1. Light levels are low
  2. Energy consumption is high
  3. Maintenance cost to replace failed lamps is high

Comparison of energy consumption

LEDs can save at least 64% energy consumption and cost, last longer and give off a brighter light than other lighting options.

These figures are based on changing from a 400W lamp to a 155W LED.

The energy impact and cost of upgrading to LEDs

  • Green Power’s projects over the last two years have resulted in approximate savings of 36million kWh.
  • Green Power is focused on providing energy efficient lighting solutions to corporate, commercial and industrial clients.
