Improve light levels and reduce energy costs significantly with Green Power’s LED Lighting solution

The problems with current warehouse lighting.

Most warehouses currently use Metal Halides, High Pressure Sodium (Orange light) or fluorescent T-Bay lighting technologies in the warehouse. The problems with these legacy lighting technologies are:

  1. Light levels in the warehouse are low;
  2. Energy consumption is very high; and
  3. Maintenance cost to replace failed lamps is high.

Green Power will undertake an audit of the existing lighting and prepare a light design to replace the energy inefficient legacy technologies with appropriate LED lighting technology in a way that is financially feasible and environmentally responsible. Also, light levels are generally improved as a result the upgrade.

After LED installation

The business case for switching to LED lighting has never been stronger
– here’s why:

  1. At least 64% energy savings if you switch from a 400W lamp to a 155W LED
  2. Lower maintenance costs as the lamps are warranted from 3 – 5 years i.e. no costly cherry pickers to replace lamps
  3. Long rated life of LED of 30,000 – 50,000 hours versus 8,000 – 20,000 hours for the legacy alternatives
  4. In cold environments, the LED lamps should actually last longer than their rated life of 50,000 hours
  5. LEDs are a lot more flexible at dimming and switching on and off (i.e., for motion detection), which can improve energy savings
  6. LEDs maintain their lumens output (brightness) for much longer than normal lamps so even after 3 – 5 years, you should still have a couple years more of useful light
